Back in the 1980’s, one Rotarian proposed the idea to eradicate Polio from the face of the earth. We are on the cusp of that momentous event! How can you be part of putting an end to this paralyzing disease? One way is to join the Polio Plus Society. Simply pledge to donate at least $100 per year until Polio is no more. You can do this by setting up a recurring donation through Rotary Direct or writing a check to your Club. When you join the Polio Plus Society, you will receive a membership pin and Paul Harris points for your donation. Please visit the District 6250 website to join now. https://rotary6250.org/Page/polio-plus-society

World Polio Day is 10/24/23. How about we set a goal to donate $6250 district-wide during the last quarter of the year? If we have 62.5 new Polio Plus Society members, we will get it done!
Each club could develop their own challenge to raise awareness/funds.
Here are some fundraising ideas:
Hold a World’s Greatest Meal. https://wgmeal.org/
Participate in the Ride to End Polio. https://polioride.org/
Set up your own fundraiser. Pints for Polio events typically see a lot of participation.
There is a toolkit available at Home | End Polio
If you are interested in getting involved at the District level, you can become a member of the Polio Plus Society Committee.
