Memo to District 6250 Rotarians

As a Rotarian in District 6250 you likely are aware of, or have experienced the administrative support we've received from Heather Dyer and her team at Morgan Data Solutions (MDS) for the past 15+ years. You may not know that every 2 years we review an agreement for the services provided, assess, and if needed, consider any necessary changes to the agreement or who may provide those services.

We are grateful for the service MDS has provided and are often looking for ways to be as efficient as possible, while empowering our amazing and generous volunteers in District leadership. To get closer to a balanced budget and consider our options for administrative and financial support, a diverse team of District leaders assembled a review team and initiated an RFP (request for proposals) to any interested parties.

After many hours of reviewing RFPs, interviewing potential providers and careful consideration, the review team decided to move forward with a new support structure, effective at the beginning of the next Rotary year (July 1, 2023). As caretakers and stewards of our District's resources (time, talent, and dollars), our new support provides opportunity for more efficiency, accountability, and financial savings.

Our support will be shared between two providers, one specializing in financial services and the other in general administration. Our financial services provider will be Hawkins/Ash CPAs and our administration services will be provided by Megs Lunn. Both bring incredible experience in their areas of expertise as Hawkins/Ash CPAs are amongst the most reputable public accounting firms in the country and Megs with her years of Club and District support to groups all over the world. Over the coming months, we'll share much more information about these wonderful people and how they specifically will support our District and clubs.

While this certainly wasn't an easy decision to get to, we're confident that we're taking an important step to make the most of our resources while still receiving high quality support that keeps our District positioned to fulfill our purpose of strengthening and supporting clubs. We look forward to working with MDS and our new providers during the transition ahead which will be full of important dates and information.
