Moon Tunes of La Crosse| Riverside Park
Moon Tunes of La Crosse is a Valley Rotary Project bringing free concerts to Riverside Park Thursdays in the summer time from 5:30 – 8:00pm. Pack a picnic or pick up something from one of the vendors! Bring your blanket, lawn chairs or come early to claim a bench seat.
On Thursday, June 6th, Moon Tunes is honored to have their season kicked off with Grammy Award winner Bill Miller!
Bill Miller is an award-winning recording artist, performer, songwriter, activist, painter, and world-class accomplished flute player. Over the past four years, Miller has produced two incredible albums, received a Grammy Award and led Wisconsin’s La Crosse Symphony Orchestra.
River Walk & International Gardens Tour | Riverside Park
Enjoy the beauty of the Riverside International Friendship Gardens. This collection of public gardens celebrates La Crosse’s sister-city relationships with communities in China, Germany, France, Russia, Norway and Ireland. Located next to the La Crosse Convention and Visitors Bureau at Riverside Park, it’s a short walk from the La Crosse Center through Riverside Park.
In celebration of 100 years of Rotary in our region, area Rotary clubs are partnering with the International Friendship Gardens, the La Crosse Friends of Cameroon, the City of La Crosse, and others to develop a garden in honor of the Sister City relationship between La Crosse and Kumbo, Cameroon. The effort is called “Growing Hearts across the World.” Nearing completion, the garden is located adjacent to the International Friendship Gardens. For more details: https://www.riversidegardens.org
Scavenger hunt maps of the Riverside International Friendship Garden can be downloaded and printed. They are popular with children. All items can be seen from garden pathways. We ask all visitors to stay on paths. Have fun!
Artspire Arts Celebration Experience | Front Street South
Pump House Regional Arts Center presents the sixth annual Artspire La Crosse, Friday & Saturday, June 7th & 8th.
Artspire is the largest arts celebration in downtown La Crosse and highlights the area’s rich history and growing reputation as a creative community, while also attracting and engaging diverse audiences and artists. The event will be held in and around the Pump House Regional Arts Center and throughout downtown and is expected to draw over 10,000 participants, volunteers and attendees.
This all-inclusive and free event that features 4 nonstop performing arts stages, over 50 exhibiting artists, interactive arts, demonstration arts and featured arts project is held a couple of blocks from the La Crosse Center!
