What's up with our District's membership? That is a question I bet most of you have never asked or thought of.
Well, let's change that. I have a few questions for you. I would like you to answer them as honestly as possible.
Why did you join Rotary?
Why do you stay in Rotary?
What is Rotary?
If those answers came easily to you, that's awesome. If not, that's ok too, but why?
Being or becoming a member of Rotary is a choice we make. Understanding why makes it easier to stay in Rotary.
Over the next year, hopefully we can each figure out our why's together.
Membership is not only asking people to join us but also asking others to stay with us. We have a great product in Rotary, and we should be proud to be a member and excited to invite someone to join us.
Please remember, most of you said yes to joining at one point because someone asked you. How do you feel about that person who asked you to join? Please be that person to someone else.
I also ask that at your next Rotary event or meeting you attend, you ask someone in your club a question to get to know them better.
If we all do the above, we can hopefully know a bit better what's up with the district's membership.
Thanks for all you do!
