The best way to succeed and win is to collect your data each month and document your progress. Take the lead and get a head start a month before the official beginning!
Game One - Club Membership Chair: Appoint/Name a Membership Chair for your club and report to Marc Augsburger, Membership Chair at maugs13@gmail.com no later than August 31st!
We are starting our Membership Year with 2,221 members in our District. We were trending very well into the final stretch of the 25-26 Rotary Year but hit a bit of a slump the last month, ending with 34 members fewer than last year. Let’s put our Rotary hearts and efforts towards membership growth this year!
As we look to this year’s quest for membership growth, here is some sage advice from an RI leader regarding ‘Membership Development’:
1. Attract new members, including people who have already been introduced to the great work done by Rotary. Reconnect with former members to see if your club may meet their current needs and interests.
a. Talk to current and former youth program participants and their families. Invite them to participate in your projects and your club events to deepen their understanding of how Rotary serves communities and builds personal connections.
2. Engage your current members through Rotary programs. Rotary Action Groups connect people across the globe who share and build their expertise on a particular topic, such as economic development, education, or the environment. Rotary Fellowships are a fun way to make friends around the world who share the same hobbies, identities, or cultures.
3. Expand our reach by developing and leveraging relationships with professional institutions in your community. These affiliations will help you find new participants to increase your club’s impact and prominence and help you identify prospective members.
Club presidents may also lead efforts by the club to evolve and grow by forming a satellite club to meet the needs of current and future members and bring new energy and focus to the club.
