Welcome to the new Rotary year! I hope this year is an exciting one for you and your club.
My name is Aaron Frank, and I am a member of the Madison South Rotary Club and the district's new Membership Chair for this year. I'd like to thank Marc Augsburger for his three years of service as our Membership Chair.
This year, we will hold open discussions on membership with all Rotarians in the district who wish to participate. Hopefully, this will include you! Our first session is Monday, July 27th, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. on Zoom.

These discussions will focus on membership growth and retention, as well as other topics brought forward by the membership.
Membership in Rotary is an honor — sometimes I think we forget that. I challenge you to think of the people you turn to first, outside of your family. How many of them are Rotarians? This is something we should be excited to offer others. It can feel a little awkward to invite someone to a Rotary meeting or event, but why? Weren't you glad someone invited you? In the coming months, I challenge everyone to bring someone new to a meeting or event and share Rotary with them.
I look forward to serving as your Membership Chair this year. I hope to meet each and every one of you, and I'd love to hear why Rotary is important to you. Sharing those stories is one of the things that makes Rotary special — and it's key to growing and retaining our membership.
