There is still room to join the Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) to Kenya with Rotary Clubs in District 9212, East Africa, traveling May 15–25, 2026. This unique experience offers cultural immersion, service, and fellowship in true Rotary style.
Preference is given to first-time RFE participants, especially younger Rotarians. Participant bios and a $500 deposit will be requested by the end of January 2026. Contact Edwin Bos with any questions: edwin@bosdesignbuilders.com
Participants will stay with local Rotarians and enjoy city and business tours, Rotary meetings, local food and drink, Maasai wildlife parks, and plenty of time for connection. Highlights include attending the District 9212 Conference in Naivasha and meeting—and celebrating with—over 1,000 Kenyan Rotarians. A preview of the conference spirit can be found in the District 9212 YouTube video, “The Last Dance.”
The exchange is reciprocal: Kenyan Rotarians will visit Wisconsin in fall 2026, and Kenya participants are expected to help host during that visit, with full support provided.
Travel highlights: Nairobi (May 15–18), Masai Mara National Reserve (May 19–20), District 9212 Conference in Naivasha (May 21–24), with return on May 25. Airfare is currently about $1,000, plus some ground transportation. An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is required, and CDC immunization guidance applies.
