As I prepare to begin my term as District Governor for Rotary District 6250 for the 2026–2027 Rotary year, I want to express both my deep gratitude and sincere excitement for the journey that lies ahead for all of us.
First, I extend my heartfelt thanks to our current District Governor, Mike Kloss, and the entire District Leadership Team. This includes several Past District Governors and two future Governors. Their commitment, dedication, guidance, and willingness to include me in the “inner workings” of the district over the past two years has been invaluable and prepared me to serve members of the district.
The time spent observing, learning, and participating in district operations has given me a strong foundation and a clear appreciation for the commitment required to support our clubs effectively. I have learned the value of succession planning and feel confident that I can dedicate myself to the tasks entrusted to me.
I am also grateful for the support that has been shown to me by so many Rotarians throughout District 6250. The encouragement, conversations, and well wishes I have received from club leaders and members across our District, our country and even from around the world has been nothing short of lie changing, humbling and energizing. That support reinforces the strength of our district and the shared belief in the mission of Rotary International.
As I look ahead, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to serve alongside such dedicated leaders and clubs. Rotary District 6250 has a strong tradition of service, fellowship, and community impact, and I am committed to building on that foundation. Together, we will continue strengthening our clubs, expanding our reach, and “Create Lasting Impact” in the communities we serve.
I look forward to a year of collaboration, growth, and impactful service—and I am honored to begin this next chapter with all of you. I conclude by “borrowing” a phrase from my home club in Holmen that came out of a club visioning session. “Together in Service, Bonded by Friendship, Driven by Fun”.
