Thank you to all the members who took our District 6250 Member survey. Your input is incredibly valuable and there's no doubt that it will help guide the ways your District continues to support Rotarians and their Clubs. Keep reading to dig into the results!

The survey included a variety of questions where we hoped to learn everything from how members feel supported by the district (satisfaction), to how much members know about different club types (education/knowledge). Most questions were asked on a scale of 1-4 and spanning from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree. Here's some of the highlights of what we learned:

QUESTION 1:

Overall, our members feel strengthened and supported by the District. On a 1-4 scale the average rating was 3.36 and over 96% of respondents either mostly agreed or strongly agreed that the District strengthens and supports clubs.

QUESTION 6:

When asked if clubs thought that their club was attractive to a diverse set of prospective members, the average score was 3.01 and while 75%+ of respondents are on the side of agreement, that means that 25% think that there's room for improvement. This could show an opportunity to improve our support that helps enhance the club experience, club culture, etc. all in the name of creating a welcoming environment for all kinds of people.

QUESTION 9:

One question explored the knowledge of different club models including "traditional" Rotary clubs, cause-based clubs, and satellite clubs. About 33% of respondents shared that they aren't aware of these club types. Being aware of and staying open to new clubs and new club types could be a key opportunity for us to grow Rotary. Your District will enhance our efforts to share knowledge and resources so clubs are aware of these exciting opportunities!

QUESTION 10:

The last question we'll highlight is one that got a sense of members overall knowledge of Rotary District 6250. The answers were on a 1-10 scale ranging from not knowing what a Rotary District is to being extremely knowledgeable about our District. The responses to this question were interesting in that it shows that while we may have about 25% of our members consider themselves on the extremely knowledgeable side, most of our members are in the middle (about 40%) and another 25% are on the very low end. The conclusion is clear - creating awareness of the strength and support that our District provides is as important as providing the strength and support itself! Training and education will provide opportunities to grow knowledge, connect members to resources, and ultimately Grow Rotary!
