How to qualify and apply

District Grants are available to qualified Rotary clubs in District 6250.

Qualification Checklist:

• President Elect attended a President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) or was excused by the District Governor
• Club has at least $100 per capita in TRF Annual Fund giving in either the current or prior Rotary year. If not, the club may use a one-time lifetime “free play” to waive this requirement.
• Primary club applying is current on all grant reporting, including global grants, and Rotary dues.

• At least two club representatives must complete District Grant Management Seminar (DGMS). The ClubRunner (CR) process and grant requirements will be covered in detail during DGMS.

  • Only qualified individuals who attend a DGMS will receive access to the ClubRunner District Grant Module.

Complete and return the required MOU agreements - 

• The following two documents must be signed by both your club president and president-elect.
  • The Rotary Foundation MOU
  • D6250 MOU Addendum

• Completed MOUs should be emailed to: d6250grants@gmail.com. They must be received and uploaded by the District Grant Chair to enable access to the ClubRunner District Grant Module.

Prepare the application - 

• Before entering your application in ClubRunner, take these steps to strengthen your proposal and make sure it is complete and eligible:
  • Review the District Grants Supplement
  • Review the Terms and Conditions for Rotary Foundation District Grants
  • Use the District 6250’s Grant Scoring to evaluate your proposal. The rubric promotes fairness, consistency, and clarity in evaluating grant submissions. While the rubric’s score is an important factor, the committee considers multiple inputs when making funding decisions.
  • Draft your answers using the application worksheet (what you'll see in the CR grant application)
  • Gather the proposed budget and supporting documentation
  • Confirm that all application requirements have been completed

Submit through ClubRunner District Grant Module - 

All District Grant applications and reports must be submitted through the ClubRunner District Grant Module, through the District 6250 website.

Applications must be complete before they will be reviewed. Clubs are encouraged to submit early so the District Grants Team has time to provide feedback. There is no official ‘submit’ button. 

Important dates for 2026-27 grants

May 25, 2026
First-round application deadline

District Grant applications must be submitted by May 25, before the start of the Rotary year for which funding is requested. Complete applications received by this deadline will be considered during the first round of funding.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Clubs are encouraged to apply well before the deadline to allow time to address missing information or questions.

All application requirements and guidelines must be followed. Review the District Grant Application Requirements and Guidelines and the Terms and Conditions for Rotary Foundation District Grants before submitting your application.

The District Grants Team is available to review applications and provide feedback before submission. Clubs should allow sufficient time for this support, as last-minute requests may not be accommodated.

Applications submitted after May 25

Applications received after the first-round deadline may be reviewed during later funding rounds while District Designated Funds remain available. 

Submitting an application does not guarantee funding. If requests exceed the amount available:

• Awards may be less than the amount requested
• The District Grants Subcommittee will determine final allocations
• When applications are otherwise equally qualified, priority may be given based on the order in which complete applications were received

May 15, 2027
All funded projects must be completed during the Rotary year in which the grant was awarded. Final reports, including all required receipts and supporting documentation, must be submitted by May 15 of that Rotary year.
