Six helpful tips to deal with culture shock
- Don't blame yourself or others for the way you feel.
- Culture shock is natural
- Culture shock is sometimes referred to as "Culture Fatigue"
- Don't set too many goals or ones you won't accomplish
- You will be very overwhelmed
- Set goals you know you can do
- Get as much rest as possible
- Take an extra nap and get a few extra hours of sleep
- Eat well and healthy
- Keeps your brain and body functioning well
- Do things you enjoy!
- You will be much happier and more capable of dealing with culture shock
- Ask our counselor for help if needed.
- Some situations can be extreme and require professional help.
