DISTRICT GOVERNOR'S MESSAGE

Dear District 6250 Rotarians,

Our Foundation is one way that Rotary Connects the World and our entire District Leadership Team would be honored if would make a contribute during the course of the month.  There are multiple ways to give but one easy way is this ROTARY DONATION LINK.   Consider signing up for Rotary Direct and please reach out if you need any assistance.

Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than ...

OCTOBER POLIO INITIATIVES
You'd have to have blinders on in October to miss a Polio Event or Polio Fundraiser somewhere in District 6250.  We hit the streets, we hit the airwaves, we hit social media and we did a great job of getting the word out that Polio has not been beat, that the fight continues and that everyone needs to stay vigilant.  I visited Viroqua where ....

SUMMER 2020 - ROTARY SHORT TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM!!
Spread the word to high school students in your community – applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Short Term Exchange Program, and due no later than Feb 1, 2020.  Share the 2020 Flier with students, school counselors and teachers.

This is an exchange program where a student from the US is matched with a student abroad and the two students spend a month at each other’s home, for a total of two months together. It is a great alternative for students who are unable to participate in the long term program. There is no cost to the club, and minimal costs to the student – a $250 application fee plus the flight and spending money.

ROTARY MUSICAL INSTRUMENT DRIVE
Note from the District Governor:  Club specific information is typically not published in the District eBulletin unless it presents a project idea that can be replicated by other clubs.  This is one such idea.

The Madison Area Music Association and Madison West Rotary are sharing a used musical instrument drive to support struggling middle school music programs in the Madison Schools. These programs have been cut repeatedly and are in need of instruments for those who cannot afford them.
