Welcome to June, a month dedicated to Fellowship and above all, FUN. It seems only fitting that I end my Rotary year on that note – reflecting on the most significant piece of Rotary in my heart – connection. Connection is always front and center for us, not just in the month of June. The highlights showcasing connection over the past several months were the BEST EVER hospitality suite at Tri- Con, dancing the night away with our youth at RYLA, bringing our Operation Pollination efforts to our 6250 communities through the efforts of our youth, and my final club visits. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible opportunity to serve alongside each and every one of you over the past 17 years, especially this year in my role as District Governor.
Together, we have made a tangible impact on the lives of countless youth, providing them with opportunities for education, connection, and a brighter future. Our efforts to address mental health issues within our communities and educate our clubs have been nothing short of transformative, breaking down barriers and offering vital support to those in need. I am also so proud of the district's efforts to prioritize our fiscal responsibility and create an innovative, administrative services model to serve our clubs/members and save close to $30,000 in the process. We set lofty goals as a district through the visioning process last February and worked diligently to make sure they were achieved.
Creating hope in our world was a vibrant effort from us all. The collaboration and synergy between our clubs have been instrumental in our ability to serve both our local communities and the world at large. By working together, we have exemplified the true spirit of Rotary and shown what can be achieved when we unite with a common purpose.
As we reflect on the past year, let us take pride in the hope that we have collectively created in the world. Our actions, no matter how small, have the power to inspire and uplift others, and I am confident that our legacy will continue to resonate for years to come. I'm so excited for our incoming District Governor Todd Restel as he embarks on our journey together to take what we did to create hope and make MAGIC in the upcoming year. Good luck to Todd, the entire district leadership team, and most importantly to all of you, the members of our clubs in District 6250.
Thank you once again for the privilege of serving as your District Governor. It has been an honor and a privilege that I will cherish always.
