The Going Green Fellowship of the Rotary Club of Madison has created a Facebook page to enhance our ability to connect with others and build a base interested in discussing and acting round global warming and other environmental issues. It’s a work-in-progress, but would you click on the link below and 'like' the page?  We can use this webpage district wide to share information as it evolves https://www.facebook.com/pages/Going-Green-Fellowship-Rotary-Club-of-Madison-Wisconsin/247678595355768

Meeting with other Madison Area Service Clubs
The short version of the story is that Paul ran into a friend from Middleton that (little did Paul know) is a District Governor for Kiwanis.  They got talking about our GG group and global warming and he was interested in our Statement on Water.  This led to the idea of working with the Madison Area Service Clubs Council (MASCC) that puts on the fall luncheon.  Upshot: a special meeting has been scheduled for June 10 to share GG work and to have a dialogue about ways we may be able to work together.  Very much to their credit, check out this Lions Clubs International link Environmental Issues: Climate Change (we've got some catching up to do).  Perhaps there are other service clubs in your town that would make logical partners.

Karen is in Sydney at the RI Convention right now.....listening to others on environmental issues, particularly global warming, and sharing an abbreviated version of our Statement on Water - attached.  A card that can be handed out is being created - will forward when complete. Look for a report of how things went.

if your club is interested in a speaker, please contact Karen, with your meeting day and time and so Karen can develop a schedule that allows for “trip chaining.” Karen Kendrick-Hands <kdkhands@me.com>

Thanks!

in service,
Paul and Karen
