Poetry is more than just words thrown on a page; it’s a twist of magically selected phrases meant to tickle your brain or whisk you away to new thoughts and perspectives.
Think you’ve got a poetic genius hiding inside? Well, now’s your moment to shine! The Rotary Poetry Awards 2025 are upon us and the event sponsor, the Rotary eClub of Innovation, is accepting poems from January 1st – March 31st of 2025! This year the two categories are: The Magic of Rotary and an Open category.
Here’s how to enter:
- Go to https://poetrycompetition.org
- Offer a donation (yes, this is a fundraiser after all) via either by debit/credit card or a PayPal and select one of the two categories
- Once your donation has been accepted, you will be set to upload your poetic masterpiece!
- Submit your less-than-300-words poem in either a PDF or Word document format by March 31, 2025!
- Exciting news: In the spirit to support the arts, District 6250 will reimburse the small donation fee for the first 20 poets from our district. Please send an email request for reimbursement to admin@rotary6250.org
The winner of the Rotary Poetry Awards 2025 will be unveiled by none other than Rotary International President, Stephanie Urchick at the Rotary Convention in Calgary, Canada. If that is not enough, the selected top-notch poet will also receive the coveted “Rotary Poet of the Year” plaque as well as other gifts.
Runners up and highly commended poets, as well as the winner, will receive certificates presented by club presidents or district governors.
