Editor’s Note: This “DID YOU KNOW?” article is designed to help you discover and learn about the rich Rotary International life that happens outside of our individual clubs’ walls.

This month’s article focuses on the Rotary Learning Center, which is accessible via the following website.  www.rotary.org/learn

“LEARN and LEAD with the Rotary Learning Center” is literally the headline to one of Rotary International’s advertisements in which you are encouraged to access the Learning Center.  Direct access to the training and educational material is possible through your personal “my Rotary” account.  Two months ago in my “Did You Know” article, I discussed ‘The Rotary Foundation.’ Within that article, I did mention a few educational opportunities through the Learning Center specifically related to ‘The Rotary Foundation.’

This month my focus on the Learning Center is broader.  Rotary’s Learning Center is able to provide you with the opportunity to build both personal and professional skills in addition to preparing you for leadership roles.  There are literally hundreds of online courses available to you which will let you learn at your own pace and in your own space.  These courses are applicable not only to your engagement with Rotary but also in your professional and personal life.

Within the Learning Center, you can create your own learning plan based on your needs and interests.  The various learning plans contain a series of related courses that allow you to more deeply explore a role or topic.  Consistent with modern day learning, these engaging courses have interactive features, quizzes that help you apply what you have learned and opportunities to track your progress and earn badges, points and certificates.

I wish you the best of luck as you explore a variety of new skills and knowledge at www.rotary.org/learn.
