Governor's 2016-17 District Strategic Goals

"Rotary Serving Humanity"

Rotary District 6250 is committed to the Rotary values of Fellowship, Leadership, Integrity, Diversity and Service. We are leaders who act responsibly and take action to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges. The District will provide support, expertise and resources as we work together on the following goals.

To Support and Strengthen Clubs
  • Be pro-active in Retention and Engagement of members. Encourage member participation in all Avenues of Service
  • Promote diverse, creative, innovative and flexible structures for new and existing Clubs, including Interact and Rotaract Clubs
  • Encourage Ethics Initiatives based on the 4 Way Test and the Ideals of Rotary
  • Provide and encourage leadership training

Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service
  • Eradicate polio
  • Promote and support Club involvement in all Youth Programs as they build vibrant Clubs
  • Promote and support Club involvement in all International Programs as they build vibrant Clubs
  • Assist Rotarians in the realization that the Rotary Foundation is the life blood of our local and international projects
  • Encourage all Rotarians to contribute to the Rotary Foundation to the extent of their ability
  • Foster collaboration between Clubs
  • Increase the quality and impact of Rotary’s humanitarian service in the six areas of focus
Enhance Public Image and Awareness
  • Assist members in articulating “ What Is Rotary”
  • Utilize Rotary’s new branding and the use of
  • Encourage and assist Clubs in publicizing their projects and activities

Support and Strengthen Clubs 

  1. A net increase of 1 member per Club for clubs with 50 members or less. Net increase of 2 members for clubs over 50 members. 
  2. Add one new Rotary Club, 5 Interact Clubs and 1 Rotaract Club. 
  3. Provide leadership training at least twice during the Rotary year. 

Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service 

  1. Fundraise for polio eradication $125,000. 
  2. Contribute $315,000 to the Annual Fund. 
  3. Achieve 400 Rotary Direct enrollees (currently 224) 
  4. Achieve 50 Bequest Society members (currently 27) 
  5. Achieve 75 Major Donors (currently 52) 
  6. Zero non giving clubs for the year (currently 5) 
  7. Promote/support Youth Programs and International Projects at Club and District levels, in Club and District publications and in our communities. 
  8. Sponsor a Global Scholar, and a Vocational Training Team or Friendship Exchange. 

Enhance Public Image and Awareness 

  1. Provide training on Rotary Club Central and Rotary’s new branding at PETS, District Conference/Assembly, Assistant Governor training and via webinar. 
  2. Utilize all options available to publicize Clubs projects including District website, Club newsletters, Assistant Governor meetings and community publications.
